Privacy Policy

My Braida LLC ("My Braida," "Company," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you access or use our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").

By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
§ 1 Information We Collect
(a) Information You Provide. We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide, including: (i) name, email address, and phone number; (ii) account login credentials; (iii) profile information; (iv) booking and service details; and (v) communications with us or with service providers.
(b) Payment Information. Payment information is processed by a third-party payment processor (such as Stripe). We do not store full payment card details.
(c) Automatically Collected Information. We may collect certain information automatically, including: (i) device type, IP address, and browser type; (ii) usage data and interactions with the Platform; and (iii) approximate location data.
(d) Photos and Media. In connection with services, before-and-after photos or videos ("Media") may be collected through the Platform for: (i) service documentation; (ii) dispute resolution; (iii) operational support; or (iv) promotional purposes, in each case subject to user authorization where required.
(e) Sign-In with Google and Apple. You may choose to create an account or log in using Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple. When you use these services, we receive only the information you authorize those providers to share with us, which is limited to: (i) your name; and (ii) your email address. We do not receive your Google or Apple password. This information is used solely to create and manage your account on the Platform. Your use of Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple is also governed by Google's and Apple's respective privacy policies.
(f) Analytics Information. The Platform uses Google Firebase Analytics, a mobile analytics service provided by Google LLC (“Google”), to collect aggregated and anonymized information about how users interact with the Platform. Firebase Analytics may automatically collect: (i) device identifiers and attributes; (ii) application usage patterns and in-app event data; (iii) crash reports and performance diagnostics; and (iv) approximate geographic information derived from IP address. All information collected through Firebase Analytics is processed in an aggregated and anonymized form and is not used to identify individual users. This information is used solely to analyze Platform performance, understand user engagement, and improve the features and functionality of the Platform. Firebase Analytics is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
(g) Advertising and Marketing Data. The Platform integrates the Meta Platforms SDK (“Meta SDK”), provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. (“Meta”), which may collect and process information about your interactions with the Platform for the purposes of: (i) measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns; (ii) facilitating the delivery of interest-based advertisements on Meta’s platforms and affiliated networks; and (iii) conducting analytics related to marketing and promotional activities. Information that may be collected through the Meta SDK includes advertising identifiers, IP address, device attributes, and interaction data. Data processed through the Meta SDK is subject to Meta’s Privacy Policy, available at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/. You may opt out of interest-based advertising by adjusting your device settings or through Meta’s ad preferences tools.
§ 2 How We Use Information
We use collected information to: (a) operate, maintain, and improve the Platform; (b) facilitate bookings and payments; (c) communicate with users and service providers; (d) provide customer support and resolve disputes; (e) monitor and enhance safety and user experience; (f) send service-related notifications and updates; and (g) conduct marketing and promotional activities, subject to user preferences; and (h) analyze aggregated and anonymized usage data through third-party analytics and advertising services for purposes of improving Platform performance and measuring marketing effectiveness.
§ 3 How We Share Information
(a) With Service Providers (Braiders). We may share information necessary to perform booked services, including: (i) name; (ii) contact information; and (iii) service location and details.
(b) With Third-Party Service Providers. We may share information with third parties that support our operations, including: (i) payment processors (e.g., Stripe); (ii) cloud storage and hosting providers; (iii) customer support tools; (iv) analytics service providers (e.g., Google LLC in connection with Firebase Analytics); and (v) advertising and marketing partners (e.g., Meta Platforms, Inc. in connection with the Meta SDK).
(c) For Legal Compliance. We may disclose information: (i) to comply with applicable law or legal process; (ii) to enforce our Terms of Service; or (iii) to protect rights, safety, or property.
(d) Business Transfers. Information may be transferred in connection with a merger, sale, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business.
(e) With Your Consent. We may share information for other purposes with your consent.
§ 4 Photos and Media
(a) Purpose of Collection. Media collected through the Platform is used for: (i) service documentation; (ii) dispute resolution; and (iii) internal operations and quality review.
(b) Optional Nature. Use of Media capture may be recommended but is not mandatory in all cases.
(c) Marketing Use. Media may be used for promotional purposes as described in our Terms of Service, subject to any opt-out rights.
(d) No Biometric Identification. We do not use Media for biometric identification or facial recognition purposes.
(e) Retention. We retain Media only as long as reasonably necessary for operational, legal, or dispute-related purposes.
§ 5 Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to: (a) provide the Platform and services; (b) comply with legal obligations; and (c) resolve disputes and enforce agreements.
§ 6 Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
§ 7 Your Rights and Choices
(a) Access and Updates. You may access and update your account information through the Platform.
(b) Marketing Communications. You may opt out of promotional communications at any time.
(c) Media Opt-Out. You may opt out of promotional use of Media by contacting us via email, subject to limitations described in our Terms.
(d) Account Deletion. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us, subject to legal and operational requirements.
§ 8 Children's Privacy
The Platform is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
§ 9 Third-Party Services
The Platform may contain links to or integrations with third-party services, including analytics services (such as Google Firebase Analytics) and advertising and marketing services (such as the Meta Platforms SDK). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of such third parties, each of which is governed by its own privacy policy. Users are encouraged to review the applicable privacy policies of any third-party services with which the Platform integrates.
§ 10 State-Specific Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request access, correction, or deletion.
§ 11 California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
(a) Scope. This Section applies to California residents and describes rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, the "CCPA/CPRA").
(b) Categories of Personal Information Collected. In the preceding twelve (12) months, we may have collected the following categories of personal information: (i) identifiers (such as name, email address, phone number, and IP address); (ii) commercial information (such as booking and transaction details); (iii) internet or network activity (such as usage data and interactions with the Platform); (iv) geolocation data (approximate location); and (v) audio, electronic, or visual information (such as photos or videos uploaded in connection with services).
(c) Sources of Personal Information. We collect personal information: (i) directly from you; (ii) automatically through your use of the Platform; and (iii) from service providers and third-party partners (such as payment processors).
(d) Business and Commercial Purposes. We collect and use personal information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including: (i) providing and improving the Platform; (ii) processing transactions; (iii) communicating with users; (iv) ensuring safety and security; and (v) marketing and promotional activities.
(e) Disclosure of Personal Information. We may disclose personal information to: (i) service providers and contractors who perform services on our behalf; (ii) Braiders in connection with bookings; and (iii) third parties as required by law or in connection with business transactions.
(f) Sale or Sharing of Personal Information. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. However, we may "share" personal information (as defined under the CCPA/CPRA) for purposes of analytics or advertising. You have the right to opt out of such sharing.
(g) Your Rights. Subject to certain limitations, California residents have the right to: (i) request access to the personal information we collect about you; (ii) request deletion of your personal information; (iii) request correction of inaccurate personal information; (iv) opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; and (v) limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information, if applicable.
(h) Exercising Your Rights. You may exercise your rights by contacting us via email or through any designated method we make available on the Platform. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.
(i) Authorized Agents. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to verification requirements.
(j) Non-Discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights under the CCPA/CPRA.
§ 12 Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
(a) Right to Opt Out. California residents have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information.
(b) How to Opt Out. You may exercise this right by: (i) contacting us at [email]; or (ii) using any "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link made available on the Platform.
(c) Effect of Opt-Out. Once you opt out, we will no longer sell or share your personal information for purposes covered by the CCPA/CPRA, unless you subsequently provide authorization.
§ 13 Sensitive Personal Information
(a) We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a "Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information" right under the CCPA/CPRA.
(b) To the extent sensitive personal information is collected, it is used solely for purposes reasonably necessary to provide the Platform and services.
§ 14 Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
